Northern Rock Foundation – Third Sector Trends SurveyThe Regional Forum, is co-ordinating regional involvement in the Northern Rock Foundation’s Third Sector Trends Survey to be undertaken between April 2008 and February 2009.
Following a review of similar but smaller scale studies in Yorkshire and the Humber, this will be carried out in two parts.
Initially a quantitative study will be used to identify the current number and identity of third sector organisations (TSOs) in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Researchers will gather contact and membership lists of infrastructure organisations in the region. Further data will also be collected, where possible, to determine the size of TSOs in terms of employees, finance, age and kinds of activity or beneficiary groups of the organisation.
The second element of the research is to measure the trends amongst TSO’s in Yorkshire and the Humber over a period of two more years. This aspect of the research will focus on the experience of organisations and their perceptions of change in their operating environment and relationships with stakeholders. More information about the Survey methodology and the partners and advisors in this study is available at the Northern Rock Foundation website.
