 | This Strategic Plan sets out the Regional Forum's aims, objectives and activities for its next stage of development from 2006 to 2009. |

 | In 2005, the Regional Forum and the Yorkshire and Humber Assembly published “Practice Makes Perfect”, a collection of case studies presenting the work of 13 voluntary and community organisations and in particular, highlighting their contribution to regional progress. The publication used the six objectives of the regional strategic framework “Advancing Together” to show how the voluntary and community sector contributes to the Yorkshire and Humber region.
“The Story Continues…” is the first in a series of updates by the Regional Forum on the work of these projects. |
 | The ‘Compact on Relations between Government and the Voluntary and Community Sector in England’ (Compact), first introduced in 1998, is a framework agreement for how the government and the third sector should work together.
Together the Compact and Codes set out a range of principles and a shared vision, along with undertakings for all sides. It applies to central government departments, Government Offices for the regions, executive agencies, non-departmental public bodies and to a range of organisations in the third sector.
The Compact for the Yorkshire and Humber Region was officially launched at the FOOTSEY 2007 Event at York racecourse on 18th October.

 | Each of the signitories to the Regional Compact receives a Certificate to acknowledge their commitment to the Compact. This is the Regional Forum Certificate. |
 | This guide is a listing of key voluntary and community sector networks in Yorkshire and the Humber. The networks bring together organisations, which share a common area of interest through their work.
These networks are places to exchange information, develop opportunities for joint working, and to build a cohesive voice for the sector through engaging with regional policy and programmes.
