OUR TRUSTEES

The Officers of the Board and Elected Trustees are selected from member organisations at the AGM each year in November, by members of the Regional Forum. If you are interested in becoming involved please contact Judy Robinson for further details.

Co-opted Trustees are selected by the Trustee Board in order to ensure that the membership of the Board reflects the breadth and extent of the Forum's membership.

Nick Warren

Nick is from Voluntary Action Sheffield.

Nick Warren is the Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Sheffield. VAS employs around 60 staff, supported by 25 volunteers, delivering services to 900 local voluntary and community organisations each year as well as providing training and advice to over 4,000 individuals and supporting strategic partnership work.

In addition to his trusteeship of the Regional Forum, Nick is a Trustee of NAVCA (the National Association for Voluntary & Community Action), is Co-Chair of the Sheffield Compact (between the Voluntary & Community Sector and the City Council), and is a permanent member of Sheffield’s Local Strategic Partnership board.

He is currently leading for VAS on joint work with the City Council in a major strategic review of the local third sector and the development of a volunteering strategy for the City.

Nick’s earlier career included nine years with International Voluntary Service, based initially in the Irish Republic, then working as International Secretary, supporting a worldwide network over 35 national branches and partner organisations. Prior to that, he worked as UK local group’s co-ordinator for Friends of the Earth.
